Middlesbrough Local Development Framework Core Strategy
Adopted February 2008

Introduction

Middlesbrough Council formally adopted the Core Strategy on the 20th February 2008. It sets out its spatial strategy and preferred planning objective for the borough and examines the areas on which the council needs to focus to regenerate the town. The Core Strategy identifies the broad locations for land use and the amount of development for an area over a specific time period. This allows for the planning of Middlesbrough’s future.
